Our Story

It started in Tel Aviv

In September 2024, Leah was living in Tel Aviv and buried in LSAT prep books. She had exactly one plan: get into law school in the U.S. Everything after that was a big question mark.

Meanwhile, Jarryd was in Israel visiting his grandparents. Born in South Africa, raised in Australia, and a New Yorker for the past decade, he has an accent that has been confusing people on three continents ever since.

Then Hinge did its thing. They matched, and their first date was at a bar on Nachalat Binyamin. It went so well that Jarryd did what any reasonable man would do: he extended his trip another week. (His grandparents were thrilled to have him around longer. They may not have known the real reason.)

That week sealed it. When Jarryd flew back to New York, the two kept talking every single day, across a seven-hour time difference, a lot of late nights, and a lot of early mornings. One thing led to another, and Leah's law school plans eventually landed her right where Jarryd was: New York City.

Since then, they haven't spent a single day apart. Leah got her answer on what came after the LSAT, and it was better than anything she could have planned.

We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Waymo's self-driving cars also operate in Miami if you'd like to try one.

Make a weekend of it

Things to Do in Miami

Leah's family is local, so these come with a stamp of approval. A few of our favorites, from the beach to the Grove.

Miami Beach

A Beach Day

Claim a lounger behind the hotel or walk the boardwalk south. The sand between 20th and 40th is quieter than South Beach and just as pretty.

Miami Beach

Collins Avenue

The spine of Miami Beach. Stroll the pastel art-deco hotels in South Beach, grab a rooftop drink, and people-watch along the way.

Midtown

Wynwood Walls

An outdoor museum of massive murals, surrounded by galleries, breweries, and great coffee. Go in the morning before the heat.

Midtown

Design District

Flagship boutiques, public art, and striking architecture a few blocks from Wynwood. An afternoon of window shopping and a long lunch.

Coral Gables

Venetian Pool

A 1920s swimming lagoon carved from a coral quarry, with waterfalls and grottos. One of the most unusual swims you'll ever have.

The Grove

Coconut Grove

Miami's oldest neighborhood: banyan-shaded streets, waterfront parks, and sidewalk cafés. Pair it with Vizcaya Museum & Gardens next door.

Little Havana

Calle Ocho

Cafecito at a ventanita, dominoes at Máximo Gómez Park, and live music spilling out of the bars. Miami at its most Miami.

South Beach

Lincoln Road & South Pointe

Shop and snack along the pedestrian mall, then head to the southern tip for a sunset walk on the pier with the cruise ships gliding past.

Our picks

Where to Eat

Our six favorites in the city — heavy on Israeli and Mediterranean, because that's how we eat. Book ahead on a holiday weekend.

Abbalé

Telavivian kitchen in Miami Beach — hummus, grilled fish, and a wine list that goes late. The closest thing to Nachalat Binyamin in Florida.

Aviv

Modern Israeli cooking with a lively room. Order the salatim for the table and don't skip dessert.

Motek

Our all-day Israeli café, with several locations around the city. Shakshuka, malabi, and the best breakfast on the weekend.

Mila

Mediterranean-meets-Asian on a rooftop above Lincoln Road. Dress up a little; the room deserves it.

Casa Neos

Mediterranean on the Miami River with a terrace over the water. Go for a long, golden-hour dinner.

Paperfish

Sushi in Brickell when you want a change of pace — sleek, fun, and very Miami.

Good to Know

Questions & Answers

When will I get the full details?

This is our save the date. Formal invitations with times, RSVP, and the rest will follow — check back here as the weekend gets closer.

What should I wear?

Miami Chic — long dresses for the ladies, light-colored or linen suits with no ties for the gentlemen. Stilettos are fine; just make sure you can dance in whatever you choose. Full notes under Dress Code.

What will the weather be like?

Late May in Miami Beach is warm and humid, with the chance of a passing afternoon shower. The ceremony is on the Rooftop Garden; cocktail hour, the reception, and the after party are indoors.

Which hotel should I book?

Either! The EDITION is where everything happens; the Royal Palm is a short ride south in the middle of South Beach. The Royal Palm link is live now, and The EDITION's is coming soon.

Is the boat cruise open to all guests?

The Saturday sunset cruise is a small outing for our wedding party. Everyone is invited to the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, after party, and Monday brunch.

Is there a registry?

Not yet — your presence in Miami is what we're most excited about. Details will come with the invitation.

See you in Miami
